Above Mar Azul sits on the beachfront in Kupuri, one of Punta Mita's most established gated communities, and is configured as three independent casitas that operate together as a single compound. The property sleeps up to 26 guests across 12 bedrooms and 13.5 bathrooms, with most rooms carrying ocean views and private terraces.
The Master Casita holds four bedrooms — a king suite facing the Pacific, two queen rooms with ocean views, and a fourth queen room — along with its own living areas. Casitas 2 and 3 mirror each other: each has a king suite with a terrace, a second king room with garden views, a bunk room with four twin beds for younger guests, and a queen room. Every bedroom has an ensuite bathroom. The layout makes the compound well-suited to large families or multiple groups traveling together, with enough separation between casitas to give each party its own space while sharing the broader property.
A full-time on-site team handles the day-to-day. A private chef prepares breakfast, lunch, and dinner; butlers and waiters manage service throughout; and concierges Gaby and Felix are available for logistics, reservations, and anything else that comes up. A 6-seater golf cart is included for getting around the community. Daily housekeeping is standard.
Outdoors, the property has a private pool and direct beach access, with the Pacific directly in front and the Kupuri Beach Club a short distance away. The club offers watersports, paddleboarding, and beach facilities. There are also kayaks, bikes, a hammock, BBQ, fire pit, and a covered outdoor kitchen and seating area on the grounds.
Kupuri is a low-density residential enclave within the Punta Mita peninsula — quieter and more established than some of the newer developments, with a beach that stays calm enough for paddleboarding most of the year.
